I have just returned from the windiest camping trip ever and was unable to cook outside 'cos the gas kept blowing out. I moved stove inside only to have a small hole now in my tent where the lid of the cooker melted the fabric of the tent.
Can any one suggest a cheap type of shelter, utility tent that I can use for my next trip. Thank you.

Hi Fairybelle
You could try this , its quite popular with a few on here and probably the cheapest new utility tent you will find
I actually use a Kyham Day tent which is slightly larger and a little more expensive, tho not much more.

We got the Outdoor Revolution tent from UKCS that Andy100 referred to. It's good value for money and we're really pleased with it. Came next day too.
You can store all your kitchen stuff and other bits in it which makes your tent less cluttered, which may or may not be useful for you.
Not sure how it would stand up to really strong winds. I'd guess that the sides would push in a little, so you'd need to be careful cooking in it, but that would be true of anything I guess.

we use a Royal dayroom (3m by 3m).
Had our kitchen set up in it and fold up table and chairs.
It is really handy. 3 of the doors open up like a gazebo and the others are mesh with pvc windows.
