do i need chemicals in a bucket

do they work

with three little kids and two drunken adults we need to pee in the night

i was thinking of bucket with lid

praticle but should i use chemicals in it

We use a bucket with lid and use toilet duck to keep it smelling fresh.

I am new to camping and thought this was a really good question.  I wouldn't know whether the chemicals would smell worse than the wee.  Would it be better to put some dettol in the bottom as well as the duck! 

It would be a good idea to have FAQ page for us newbies.

hiya zoflora is a disinfectant all supermarkets sell it and its really nice smelling and a very good disinfectant

When I used the bucket and lid ,I put a few drop of zoflora is the bottom ,wouldnt use the loo chemicals for fear of splash back
