Keep an eye on Lidl or Aldi they often do the fleece ones.
failing that buy one of their double fleece blankets and get someone to stich the bottom and side>
October still quite warm for decent sleeping bags, what comfrot rating is it.

I have a silk one which I use for backpacking and summer use, and a fleece one for cooler weather - the fleece is warmer but bulkier.
