What do you all use under/over your airbed to prevent getting a bit chilly?
I was thinking about a fitted flannelete sheet. Has anyone used one - does it work?

use them shinny aluminium mats under the airbed , and a fleece on top , no condensation that way either!

Reminds me of a funny a couple of years ago. We went camping with 2 friends on a cold may weekend in Barnsley. My mates wife remarked how cold the air bed had been the night before. I asked her had they had it red side up or blue side up. She said blue side. Thats why you were cold then i told her, you are supposed to have the red side up in the cold to keep you warm and the blue side up to keep you cool when its hot. She believed us till we burst out laughing but then she is blonde . We put a couple of excersise roll up mats under and lie on an extra thick blanket under the sleeping bags.
Have you tried the mummy style sleeping bags that are for 4 season weather. They are superb and you have to have an extremely cold night to feel the cold.

I put an opened out sleeping bad on top of the airbed ( fleecy side up) and hold it in place with a fitted cotton sheet. I tested the rollup mat thing under the bed last time but one we were camping , one bed with them and one without .. there's seemed be be no difference between the two.. so I don't intend taking these anymore as they just take up extra space in the car.

Neither me nor my hubby seem to get on with sleeping bags. Thinking of using a duvet instead. Hubby doesnt seem to feel the cold when lieing straight on the airbed but I do! Brrrr

We sometimes use fleecy mattress covers that I bought cheap in Rosebys once. Havent needed them this year yet, but probably will next time we're out.

We use one of those fleecy mattress covers, lie on that and cover with a quilt.
Only my bf forgot it last week so we had to improvise and put newspaper under the bed to keep the cold from getting through so much, it worked.

Hi there, we use a rubber backed picnic blanket under the air bed. This helps keep the damp out.

I put a rubber backed picnic blanket under the bed. I then put a fleece blanket on top of the bed and hold it on with a fitted sheet. Then we climb in our sleeping bags and have never been cold yet. Have had slight patches of damp on mattress in the morning but it soon dries out.
