DO Campingaz have a website that tells you where you can get the bottles refilled? I have typed every possible spelling into google (including the spelling on the bottle!) and I can't seem to find it. Failing this, anyone know of a cheap place to refill campingaz bottle on berks/surry/hants borders?
, but i know for a fact that it is not upto date when you hit the link for get gas. Our loacal camping shop sells camping gaz but is not listed there and that may work the other way too, ie some that are listed as stockists may no longer stock so it is worth a call before travelling out.
I was also wondering about the age of the gas bottles and whether this affects the refilling. We picked up a second bottle at the local tip, but it appears to be quite old, and although it has the same top as our newer one, will the refill place be able to still refill it. Sounds like a silly question doesn't it. I am sure they will, but have you heard of anyone having any problems?
Don't worry about it. They do not actually refill it for you, you swap it for a full one. As long as it is not damaged it will be fine. Sometimes when we swap we get a really grotty looking one!!
Don't worry Doc. My mum recently sorted out her Campingaz 907 which she's had since the 70's - old fashioned metal cap on it, but I had no problems exchanging it at our local caravan sales shop.
