Hi,

Has anyone found a pole that is tall enough and strong enough to hang a 20l Gelert solar shower from, yet is easy to pack? 

The blurb suggests hanging it from a tree but we tend to camp at coastal sites where trees are few and far between.  I've hooked it to the roof rack of our mondeo before - ok for the kids but way too low for my partner and I.

That's always supposing we ever scored a sunny enough day to heat the water. (Ever the optimist  )

Have you thought about an alloy aerial mast, light and cheap and available in various lengths.

Try a clothes line prop held up with three guy ropes tied to just below the telescoping point. Use the hook device at the top to hang the shower on, the clothes prop can be telescoped to the required height.

Buy a transit van with a roof rack, remove end cap from a section of roof rack, insert line prop or strong pole into roof bar and hang it from that!

Its a good idea to remove line prop/pole before you travel out for the day-we forgot until we were ten miles down the road!! Luckily no harm done.
