This sounds like a bargain so I rang them, only to be told they are still at £89.99 and have never been reduced. I also rang my local store, and they said it is impossible you could have bought for that price "unless it was a damaged box or something". Sounds like you got yourself a good deal, Dobiesmon, but how you did it remains a mystery!
Hi all
ouch me thinks you do not belive me last year I picked one up at lakeland for john who had just started camping ( vw motorhome ) ,priced £45
all the time I have been into lakeland since they have only ever had the older model ( black base )on display .
The sticker on the box which is not damaged says it was £89.95 bargain price £69.95 then another sticker on that says £89.95 bargain price £49.95 REASON Discontinued ref nu 16995 its a yellow and blue ticket .
There were 2 premier's and 2 black base models .if I had a credit card I would have brought them all .

No, of course we believe you. It's Lakeland who don't want to believe it!
Lakeland (York) have just telephoned to say that the ones you saw were reduced at the manager's discretion, and so the offer is not available at any other store. It seems that Handforth have none left, either (surprise surprise!).
Oh well, it would have been a good saving. Glad to hear you managed to get a bargain, though.
Sounds like a bargain to me, wish we could have bought one at that price - mind you we think our cobb is one of the best camping things we have ever bought.

So pleased you got a bargain Dobiesmon..... and I believed you completely I didn't phone as my hubby went to hospital today to have an MRI so my mind hasn't been on what I am doing ...... Enjoy your new Cobb Dobiesmon and thanks for the info again and I will be buying one but will have to be full price now
We got our Cobb at Lakeland about this time last year, and it was reduced to £45, we got ours in Truro. So it is worth looking, they might come down in price at other stores soon.
