Some people at Bashly Park went mad, lights everywhere and all running on normal EHU. As far as I know one person had problems with the leccy tripping but it turned out they had not unwound the extension cable properly. It all looked very pretty and the kids on the site loved it.
In answer to you question it seems you can run loads of Christmas lights on normal hook up.
