I have a few small scratches on my lovely dark blue car. Has anyone tried those scratch mending solutions that are advertised - typically around £10 - £12? I don't want to waste my money, or, worse, spoil my paintwork! Can someone recommend a good brand that they have tried, with good results?
Take it to your nearest "Chips Away", they are brilliant at repairing small dings and scratches, my local one did a dent on my door within an hour of it happening.

If you want to do it properly, there is a pen kit from halfords, start at £8 to £10 depending on the paint, it contains primer, paint and laquer if its needed, I have just done mine where some swine scratched my car in a car park and it looks fine.
However if the scratches are very minor, and just surface the coloured wax from T-cut does very well, although you will need to do the whole car, then it looks like new, those are about £8 for a normal wax size bottle
I have tried the colour match scratch paints from Halfords, have to say it did the job ok, my other half did some on his car a few years ago, didn't look as good as the colour was not such a good match.

I use Brasso on minor scuffs and marks on my car. It was a tip from a neighbour in the used car trade. Just work it into the scratch, leave a few minutes then buff it off. works great on surface scratches and scuffs.
