what about a fleece liner for your old sleeping bag may save a bit of money!

hi everyone!! we went camping last w/end in a hilltop wood (so a lil' windy for my liking) and used my bf's two Left sided sleeping bags (one bag zipped inside-out) also a really warm fleece bed sheet inside it, and us wearing our tops and socks on. both of us stayed quite warm. the inside air was pretty cool so we just had to sleep under the cover. it was fine and dandy, till we were eating our pot noodles and we heard of lots of gunshots (bf sussed it must of been an 'animal scarer' machine as we we near farmland/pheasants, and one pellet shot against one of our pans - so we thought! but later bf said it can't have been a poacher or nasty farmer, he deducted that it would of been the recently heated pan reacting to the cold air .. what do you lot think?? we slept more or less okayish as we didnt hear any further shots later on in the night... btw, we were in a private wood, which was a bit norty of us... still we wanted somewhere more serene and with a nice view of the village (gotham, notts.)
