It has to be a reasonable price and easy to use.

We have a 'Pure' around £50.00 that is easy enough to use. You can't use the digital outside the UK though .
I would receommend them as when we had a problem with ours after 18 months we got a free replacement. Apparently (and I didn't even know) they come with a two year warranty as standard.

My wife bought me the Technika DAB 106 from Tesco for Christmas. Cost under 40 quid and is DAB and FM dual band.------------- Regards

I asked the question last year and was warned to be careful if using in a caravan as reception is dulled due to being in a tin box, he put it a little more technical than that lol.

WE find that reception is impaired when we pull the blinds down at night. We then switch to FM. I am yet to be convinced of the quality of digital over FM. I have a Genus digital/fm radio, and where there are good signals I cannot tell the difference in sound quality between the two

If you take a tv or laptop with you why not consider a freeview box? Less than £20 now and you get tv and radio?------------- Doing as little as possible for as much as possible...

Will be taking our satellite dish for when we have electric available otherwise we would use the digital radio and £50 is out of our budget range.

Why not use an inverter to power the satellite, You can pick them up for less than £15 then you have mains power without EHU ------------- Doing as little as possible for as much as possible...

Is it worth getting a rechargeable one? I hear they can wear out batteries quicker than a conventional FM radio.

We have a Roberts radio and it has fm too... Great radio.. The Dab side of it does cane off the batteries in any radio. You only get so many hours when using Dab before they drain the batteries flat. Buy a power pack and run it from that..
