Used one of these this year from 4 months old.  It was a little long to begin with so put a hair band around the bottom to shorten it - it was fab.  Didn't need anything else just put him straight in the travel cot and was warm as toast all night, you can't go wrong.  You'll probably be able to get one second hand, got mine from Ebay still had tags on it.  I've seen them come up on the sales board here as well.

The hairband is a very good idea or if you want better value for money go for the slighty bigger midi version

Excellent, can't recommend enough. My son was 7 months when we first used it and he was so warm it was brill. He will get another season out of it this year so £12.99 wan't too expensive for 2 years.

Yes, excellent piece of kit. Mine lasted one season for each of our three babies and then got passed on. It`s going camping on it`s fifth baby this year. Well worth every penny we paid for it.

Expecting it to be big enough for an eighteen month/ two year old might be pushing it, btw, unless you have small children. Mine are all tall and went into midi bags in their second season, with a strip of cloth tying the bottom off at an appropriate level. But given that even a good junior sleeping bag costs about the same as one night at an average campsite, I still think it`s worth buying the Baby version for one season.

Used one last Easter for our then 4 month old. SEE PIC... He was as warm as toast in it. Cant reccomend it enough. We put a clothes bag on toip at the bottom to stop him sliding down. We used it with the Samsonite Travel Cot. Both have more than paid for themselves and are fantastic pieces of kit.

It will almost certainly be OK unless she`s a very long baby.

I need a bit of help.

We're going camping for the first time next weekend and one of the few things that we still need to get is a Vango Nitestar baby sleeping bag.

Does anybody know of stores either in the North West or Midlands areas that have them in stock? I've tried Hi-Peak, Stapeley and a couple of others without any joy and don't mind a trip up or down the motorway tomorrow to go and get one.

CJ
