Hi,
Am looking into the best way of heating a large tent (it's pretty huge - 7.2m (l) x 3.6m (w) x 2.4m (h)). Obviously want it to be safe (ie. no naked flame) and don't have power. Perhaps something like the Coleman's Black Cat?
Any advice very much appreciated!!

You have already answered your own question, the Coleman Black Cat.

It heats up our monster hartford XXL very well. It is well worth the money and the cartridges are easy to get hold of.

Hi Katherine. Could make the obvious suggestion of cuddling up to the other half. Apart from that I've never used a heater in my tent. Never needed to use one but then again never been camping in winter. At least your blue face has gone.

maybe a parabolic gas heater may be of use?

Us ethe Black Cat heater. The parabolic type can give of Carbon Monoxide fumes.

Also run a CO detecter. It could save you from waking up dead

I would still run a CO detector.

My pal had a "near one" last year. I had a spare CO detector in my shop (brand new) and so I gave it to him because I knew that he would never buy one-he's that sort of person

First night it went off very briefly and stopped and it did the same on the second night as well.

We checked round everything that we could and couldn't find anything that could be doing it.

The thrid night it also went off but this time woke everyone up and the two adjoining Motorhomes as well.

We eventually found the fault in daylight. It was elbow on the exhaust of his 3 way fridge had got a ssplit on the side that you couldn't see...

So, please, please. Go and get a CO detector

we use halogen heaters as well when we have a few folks, used em on a ukcs meet last new year they are really toasty.
