Having begun camping again last year, where we started from 'basic' as my husband put it, (that is 3 man dome tent, but like to see where the 3rd man would go!, those little sleeping mats etc) we are now on our 3rd tent, that being a frame tent with the usual accessories that one goes camping with and boy is it great.
Hubby has decided that he is not keen to use the Coleman stove within the tent as he finds it flamable when lighting (yeah I know, he's probably got it turned up too much or something like that!). Anyhow, we have bought the Sungas Grill Master Super Deluxe, but are unsure as to which fuel would be best to use with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
On another note, we bought the Intex Queen Airbed recently, and I have to agree with others, it's fab and inflates/deflates in minutes. Can't wait to try it out at Easter!
Blue 4.5kg gas bottle is what I use, easy to transport, relatively cheap and lasts OK for my purpose. Also pretty universal type bottle so is available from a lot of outlets, which is handy if you run out half way through your hols Needs the correct regulater, but then so does everything.
Blue bottle is left-hand threaded reg.

------------- Life is one big holiday, only broken up by as little work as possible
Blue 4.5kg gas bottle for us too. Cheaper than Campingaz and with a lot more gas lasts longer. We have a cooking unit from a trailer tent (bit big but has a sink with it too and a bargain on Ebay) and it seems to last forever. Being butane it's not too good below 0c but no plans to be camping in temperatures like that anyway.
If you go this route worth trying to get an empty gas bottle either free or cheap - then you don't have to pay the deposit on a new one when you refill it.

We must be experts - we are out standing in our chosen fields!
Agree with the blue 4.5kg, use it myself on a heater. Without causing a debate here I would still swear by the Coleman stove myself though..
The simple golen rule with petrol stoves are never light them inside or near the tent, I tend to get mine going outside, turn it right down and carry it in. Have to agree with the above, butane will slow right down in low temps and can get poor whilst nearly empty. If you have a choice beetween gas and the Coleman, I know which one I would prefer.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
