I am going to Spain in January 2025. My passport was issued early in March 2015 instead of July 2015, and expires in july 2025. Can anyone tell me where I can find out if I need to renew it before I go. I’ve heard that if it has been issued early10 years before I travel then I won’t be allowed to enter even though it expires 4 months after I return.
Wait till about September and your new one should take less than two weeks to arrive.

If you do it online the new one arrives quite quickly. You need a new photo. My wife took one of me on her phone, it was fine. The online system gives information on what is required on photos.
