I kicked myself for paying 478 GBP back in July 2025 when I booked, and the discounted price for an earlier outbound train today is only 435 GBP for the return.
So I cancelled my original booking and rebooked, saving 23 GBP after 20 GBP being deducted for the cancellation.
23 GBP is enough for a meal at Flunch so not to be sneezed at!

Yes, I got this email too. I'm pressing OH to agree on dates, they are restricted, and there's quite a few dates in May not in the offer, so we'll miss out there. However, you do get the offer for 1 way. We used this offer last year.
Unfortunately, we haven't decided on our dates yet, as it depends on a number of factors. I seem to have read somewhere that this offer can't be used in conjunction with Tesco vouchers. Is that the case?

We're a bit undecided too - with factors including wondering how much offence it would cause not to attend a family wedding which would mean coming back earlier than we'd ideally like !
Unfortunately because the 'right' weather is such a big factor in how much my OH is able to enjoy the holiday, our destination could change once we see how the summer is shaping up, which could rule out Calais anyway.
