Not having first hand knowledge myself, I was talking to someone a few weeks ago who had renal failure quite a few years ago and they need to go on a dialysis machine 3 times a week. Apparently, they used to go abroad every year and everything was organised with help from the NHS but since Brexit happened it appears that it's not that easy any more. And not only because of leaving the EU but due to the fact that the NHS are now stretched to the limit which it has probably been determined by management that it's no longer a priority in terms of patient care.
However, hopefully someone with some recent experience may be able to shed some light on whether the above statement is correct or not.
