This is purely out of interest.

I keep seeing people asking for ferry codes. Now I assume they are a way of
securing a cheaper deal.
But what are they? How do people come about them? Furthermore how come they seem to be transferable and multi use?

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Hi, I presume that the codes you mention are those kindly provided by people who are members of the Brittany Ferries Club Voyage scheme.

With that you pay a membership, and in the first year joining, fee and get discount on ferry fares.
I have a code supplied as above and that gives me 10% off the ferry fare, when booking direct with BF, and also gives the CV member a small payment so a win/win situation.

Last year I used the code however, this year booing via the CMC, with a combined fare of site vouchers and ferry, was cheaper.
