Where are you all considering going ? We're fairly well decided on a couple of weeks in West Cork plus a month in France, but no real conclusion where yet. Possibly somewhere we haven't been like Dordogne but we're also liking the thoughts of a return to around Royan, haven't been there for a couple of decades now, stopping off in Loire en route and Mt St Michel on the way home.

I have already booked my tunnel crossing and paid a deposit for a pitch at a site in Normandy for mid May 2023.
I have driven in my cars in Europe many times, the last being 2007, and this will be my first ever camping trip with a dog and in a van. It is closer than the site I had in mind originally and I changed my mind due to a number of reasons.

Big holiday is two weeks in southern Brittany. In a house this year. Our levels of enthusiasm for camping appear to be diverging faster and faster as time goes by.
Reckon I can still fit a couple of short trips in though.
Where we get to depends on OH's ability to drive distances. However, we've not been to the Dordogne since lockdown, or quite fancy a return to the I'le de Re.

Three weeks in France, crossing is already booked. We plan to stick close to the coast wherever possible with a few, inland France Passion stops thrown in for good measure.
We always end up doing too much driving so the plan is to go no further south than Royan, we'll see if that plan survives.
We'll also be taking a week somewhere in the UK, haven't decided where yet.
Five weeks in total for us next summer with six kids and the eldest lads girlfriend. Three weeks in Cavalaire—sur-Mer, ten nights in Braize and a few stopovers in between. We haven’t booked the Eurotunnel yet. I’ll book that next month.

Ferries booked for May - June (7 weeks away) and August - September ( 5 and a half weeks away). We're thinking of going back to Vichy at some point, and need to meet up with the caravan service people somewhere, but no firm plans as yet.
W have to sort dog care first, but planning a couple of weeks (maybe 3) in June at our caravan in Deux Sevres and not sure yet whether we will stay put or move on for a week or so. Adult son plans to fly out and join us and travel back with us.
Already booked a crossing for a week in April and will probably do the same in September.
One dog elderly and her rabies has run out. The other, young and lively but doesn't like the car. The perils of pet ownership!
------------- Freedom is a light caravan and an open road.
We're fortunate in that our 2 dogs travel on Romanian issued EU passports, so saves us the cost and hassle of Animal Health Certificates, and they both love being in the car and travel really well. We will get their next rabies jabs done in France so their passports remain valid.
90 days July-Sept in SW France & coast. Uk caravanning before that as soon as weather gets warmer hopefully March. Most likely use £100 of Tesco vouchers towards Eurotunnel out & Dieppe Newhaven is possibly cheapest way back.
The 90day thing has spoiled things a bit. After a conversation on the helpline of the outsourcing company that does the paperwork for French visas it does appear 6 month French tourist visas for no fixed abode ie touring caravan are possible.
Would then involve trip to London for interview with French consulate who are final arbiters & £90 for each visa. Or probably I will lose the will to live & stick with the 90 days.

First priority for us is some remedial work to our ancient caravan, which I hope to begin once the warmer days come. Assuming I am able to complete that satisfactorily, our first break will be in the first two weeks of July. Where? Absolutely no idea, as it will largely depend on weather forecasts nearer the time. We always tend to head for wherever the weather looks best in this country, and book a maximum of two weeks in advance. Sometimes we only book days in advance, it's one of the attractions of caravan holidays for us as we got fed-up with having to book months in advance when we used to fly abroad, something we haven't now done for nearly 10 years. Spontaneity is a big thing for us!
We may go to Germany to visit our old RAF haunts, staying in Holland as the bases are by the border and there are plenty of campsites there. Probably do Eurotunnel and stop in France or Belgium en route.
Then maybe to Alsace depending on the weather.
Possibly 6 to 8 weeks or maybe a month June and July and same late August and early September avoiding peak times!

Ferry booked for four weeks in late June/early July, shorter and later than we normally do for various reasons. Aiming for Saumur, Noirmoutier then Brittany this time as long journeys are getting harder due to age and health.
Also planning to fly to Greece for 2 weeks in October to meet up with old friends. We lived there in the 1980s and have not been back much since so very much looking forward to it, though having not flown anywhere since getting our first campervan in 2004 we’re a bit apprehensive about going away without the home comforts of the van. My packing will have to be severely compromised!
I should add I have already booked all my camping trips in 2023, and have started to plan for 2024 with Scotland for 2 weeks being on the card!
Regular contributors on this board would know this is normal for me.
