We are going to the rugby World Cup in autumn 2023 and wondered when booking opens for sites in France in general?
OH loves to be organised 😄

I know some sites take bookings for the following year for those that are already on the site this year

Although we've never booked a site in France, if I wanted a specific site for next year, I'd be looking to book before they close for the winter.

Some sites don’t load their booking calendar / system until the end of the year beginning of the next.

Ditto all of the above. Your best bet is to contact the sites you're interested in and ask.

As most of the matches appear to be in city centre stadiums it may not be easy to find sites within reasonable travelling distance and which are open during the tournament dates. Campsites in France often have very short opening periods. Check carefully where sites are located and then enquire about their opening dates and about booking. For such a popular event I think the earlier you make enquiries the better.
