We will be going for 2 weeks in mid April next year, to visit the bulb fields and some other areas of the country.
Does anyone know if the Dutch campsites are likely to be very busy then? If so I will book some in advance.
Also when are they likely to be open for bookings for 2026, the ones I've looked don't seem to be yet.
Thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We went at a similar time of year on the daytime ferry from Harwich so it was about 1800 before we were on dry land at Hook of Holland so we booked the first night. The very popular and expensive site at Delft might well need booking at any time but we moved well away from there. For the rest of our own bulb field trip we didn’t book at all, but if you are anxious take a phone and call ahead - they all speak English.
In April next year Easter is 5/6 April, so could be busy then. Also, on the 27th is the King's birthday, which is a holiday, plus it's a school holiday from the 25th of April until the 3rd of May. Apart from that, there should be no need to book. No idea when booking opens, it's probably a matter of checking websites on a regular basis.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
