Hi all going to France in July traveling to Caen on the ferry then going to visit the 6 Normandy beaches looking to stop in my vw transporter campervan on campsites any 1 got any recommendations on were best to stop or were not to stop thanks Paul
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
When you said 'to stop', did you mean to stop overnight or just to park up and walk along the beach etc. please?
I went to Omaha beach 2 years ago, and due to height restrictions, I was not able to go into their main car park, and had to park along the street at designated parking bay instead which was a little bit further away; however, I believe it was free.

As well as the British military cemeteries be sure to visit the American cemetery at Colleville sur mer. The size and scale of it will tug at your heart strings. A good campsite close by is Camping le Picard.

I agree with you but it’s the OP’s first post (3 weeks ago, they might not come back…), so I doubt they’ve done a site search - it can take a while to find your way around the website. Apologies - I can’t do the links for a short cut.
As well is two words!
