Hi all, we're thinking of buying/renting a "Tag" for use on French toll roads this year. My question is: can the toll charge which is (presumably) taken from your designated bank account, be allocated to a credit card instead?
Many thanks
Keith

Yes, my account is linked to my Nationwide Visa c/c. If you haven`t decided which tag to go for, I use ATMB and they send me a bill at the end of the month of use, and bill my card at the end of the following month. It is worth looking at their website regularly as they often have a special offer with no set-up fees, just the postage for the tag.
We have had the APRR for many years. It links to our credit card, as well. Great thing to have. As with the others, you only pay for using it during the month you use it (€2) and pay the month after for the tolls.

Caravan Club often have offers too.

Thanks everyone for their input. I've done the deed with ATMB linked to my Halifax credit card.
Can't wait to go now.

For your first experience, choose a tollbooth that has both the "t" symbol and the bank card symbol, just in case.
I can assure you, unfortunately from experience, that reversing the caravan out of the booth lane to go to another booth,is not much fun.
As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Now you have just got to wait for that "will it or won`t it" moment when you approach the barrier for the first time.
Quite heartstopping that especially if you have a queue of traffic behind you!
