A couple of resources I've found on Youtube might be useful to some who speak a bit of French.
First, Echappees Belles from TV5 visits one departement per programme, often focussing on people, their jobs, etc. Useful for seeing different regions. Some programmes visit outside of France too.
Second, Arte Decouverte is not unlike things you would see on BBC4, there are a lot of nature programmes and informative stuff.
Some of these have subtitles in French to make it a bit easier to get the gist. All good practice for vocabulary, getting your ear used to French, etc.
Aonyone found any others ?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Not on Youtube, but we listen to a lot of French radio whilst travelling in France, and my OH reads the Frenche Vingt Quatre news every day, in French. We also check in to what is our local paper in 'our' French village - L'Independant, Aude
Many years ago when we moved to Italy, my 1 year son was starting to babble to us. We quickly realised he babbled differently to the Italians who talked to him from the way he did to us. The rhythm and sound differed.
When I was asking the difference between alternative words for here (qui or qua)and from (tra and fra) I was told to use that which sang better in the sentence.
Watch a french programme or film with the subtitles on and then turn them off and listen to the rhythm and turn the titles on again. It really does help
We listen to French radio en route.I read Le Monde online and have a French magazine, Bien Dire, which comes with a CD or download to accompany it.
I did a diploma in French with the OU, their material is excellent.
