Does anyone know this campsite?
We're looking at spending a couple of nights here after crossing from Cherbourg.
We'd like to know whether the pitches are large enough to comfortably take our 7m caravan and whether the electric hook ups are 10amp (or above). We can manage with 6amp but 10amp makes life easier!
Failing that, does anyone know of a site around an hour or so from Cherbourg that will accommodate our caravan, has 10 amp electric and will take 2 dogs, that comes in under 25-30 euros a night arriving on 21st August.
We need to be around here on these dates as we are meeting up with our son and family holidaying in a mobilhome (we could stay on the site where they are, but I refuse to pay €70+ a night!).
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Now you are testing my memory …I recall a typical municipal site with no resident warden. We let ourselves in and a lady came to collect money about 5 pm. There was plenty of space then and probably more now that motorhomers have gone off to do their own thing. I never asked what power the EHU had. - we simply plugged in and the fridge worked. I would suggest you go and have a look see.
I did my usual & checked the reviews via google maps (assuming UKCS hasn’t got many). They’re not in order of posting, oddly. Couldn’t see anything adverse about the electricity, but the photos might help re pitch size. https://maps.app.goo.gl/nTjvt5doZUDFWoZs8?g_st=ipc
