Heard on the radio at lunchtime that Morrisons are dropping 2p a litre other reatailers will probably follow suit. Oil is less than $120 a barrel at the moment.

Will our beloved government slap 2p a litre on??? Mind you the useless ******* are on summer recess now!

I've noticed that diesel is down 50p per gallon in the last 2 weeks. It's £122.9 around here.

Does anyone know if this is the trend in France too ?

DIesel as on 19th AUG - AUCHAN supermarket 1.298€  motorway varing between 1.42€ and 1.48€.  Diesel started to come down in price ( and petrol) on the 30th JUly according to the papers ( Sud-Ouest).  trend has been down through August almost daily changes in some built up areas. HOWEVER their rises over the last year have been even steeper than ours!

€1,27.8 for diesel at Champion last week (St Palais sur mer).
