Been to the vendee on several occasions, St Jean de mont seems to be a very popular resort! It certainly gets my vote.  There is an excellent site for children called Le Clarys Plage it hosts many slides and was a definite hit with all of us, my hubbie and daughter were in there in the rain it was so good, it was may though.  Le Littoral further south is another good resort, this one can be booked through french life who are renowned for being cheap.  We booked on the last minute last year ( 3 weeks ) and we went to the South of France for just over £600.00 that was a good resort too. Happy holidays!!

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

We've been to vendee 3 times. Best site we stayed at was Le Garangeoire. Massive pitches and large wooded area and lake. Lods of space. Slightly inland - but only 15 mins drive to the beach. Have stayed at Du Jard (Le Tranche) but definately preferred space of the Garangeoire. Eurocamp etc. have pitches, but they do get booked up quickly.
