Thanks Hew we did look at the photos on google earth and it looks stunning. We will probably go to Soleil Plage even though it is a little more expensive as we are going last two week in August and the kids like plenty of activities and other kids to mingle with.

we have done last 2 week of aug for many years - Its REALLY important to go somewhere with Eurocamp or canvas or other UK operator if you want to avoid having to entertain your kids 24/7 cos they are the only Brit kids on site. Your as safe as you can be in that respect at SP

Le Moulinaldown at Biron is good in this respect too - but its a bit out of teh best area and on a lake which is no substitute for a big clean river

don't forget the snorkel and mask - loads of fish etc to be seen
