I love hearing stories of the kindness of others and that's a really good one :-)

In support of VWs!  This is probably tempting fate, but we've just come back from a 2,000 mile round trip in our 1977 bay window VW (went to Sweden).

The bus was fantastic and the only problem we had was a blown fuse in the cigarette lighter.

I must admit the other half is a mechanic so the bus is well looked after!

Funny, my wife was paranoid when he drove it on to the ferry without us. There was a short time when we couldnt see our superman and it was a bit of a concern, but we'd been through passport control so it would have been difficult for him to drive off. Once on the ferry we felt ok, but I guess there was always a chance of it dissapearing! Faith in humanity though eh
