NO REFUNDS,unlike others who accept things can change and allow you to CANCEL or rebook this company will not... .
Sorry AT03
But I think you may be wrong about rebooking as on their other routes DFDS have always allowed CHANGES to bookings WITHOUT a rebooking fee.
Unlike Brittany Ferries who I believe charge a VERY SUBSTANTIAL rebooking fee. I say this from experience as an eye injury delayed us from catching the BF ferry from Plymouth last summer. CC Red Pennant insurance had to rebook our crossing several times as I kept hoping to be able to take the next day's crossing and told me that this had cost them a LOT of money to BF in rebooking fees.
As regards no refunds in my experience that is true of MOST transport companies, not just ferry companies and CERTAINLY not just DFDS, when offering special cheap-rate fares. Flexible fares always cost more in my experience.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I live 11 miles from Portsmouth and I have always found the Portsmouth crossing to be really expensive for some reason.
Even when LD Lines did the Newhaven - Dieppe crossing it was £273 in August for a car and four passengers. That may be cheaper from what I've seen in this post.
For a short drive up the coast to Kent and crossing at Dover, it makes financial sense to cross with DFDS as it then means you can spend more on your holiday.
I'm sure it must be the fee's at Portsmouth that they get hit with that they then pass onto their customers. Robbing bar stewards!!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
