Any other suggestions for October half term with kids abroad in motorhome? La Croix seems to crop up everytime but are there any other places like this please?

Has anyone gone to provence or tarn in oct half term in static? Fancy walking hol when not too hot and as i teach we have to stick with school hols. Or would we be better with house/ gite?
