Thanks for that all info is welcome-have booked tickets for day and night show -we are only there for 7 nights so wanted to make the most of it all.
OH is slightly claustrophobic but loves camping so we have to have massive tent just for 2 of us
galaxy gets packed to the gills+roof box but that's our choice!
Last year we broke down travelling from millau down to navarrenx-couldn't fault rac Europe assistance-care had had full service and new tires but these things happen!

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Joolb - Good for you that you've booked.
I'm working off the map on the website ( in Our Downloads column ) It's showing up quite large and readable on the desktop - not so good in iPad. Don't know if link of actual map will work as it's a PDF, but here goes: PDF of map
From the email from campsite reception: "There are only a few premium pitches, the Premium Tent pitches are:
Flamantroses, Foulques, Mesanges and Milans.
The Castel Premium are Egee and Ionienne.
The partly shaded ones are Flamantroses and Foulques, Ionienne has also a little shade."
I'm really keen on this campsite for next year, but hubby needs persuading. He is concerned that it's a little far north for reliable weather and he would prefer to be right on a beach rather than 13km inland.
I would be very grateful for your feedback when you return - especially regarding the Premium Pitches and sanitary blocks (my particular obsession!!).
Enjoy your holiday.

Well I just got back yesterday, was in a tent on a premium pitch, the pitch was massive, with a fridge and a table n chairs.
Sanitary blocks were clean, never had to wait.
Beach was about 20 minutes in the car, easy to park.
We had a few showers, and one massive storm, solid thunder and lightning for 40/50 minutes. I would like to try the south but its too far for my kids to travel
We stopped in calais on the way down, then had about 8hrs driving with plenty of stops. On the way back we stayed in rouen overnight (4hrs driving) then 2hrs to the tunnel in the morning
Overall best site I've stayed at, already got a provisional booking for next year
