We have been to this area for many years now and had fantastic day trips...done most of those mentioned here. But last year we went to Les Beau de Provence for the first time. Amazing! There is a wonderful castle but even more amazing is the 'show' in the caves just a short walk down the road. They project images of paintings onto the walls and have a different theme each year...last year old masters. I had seen it recommended on here but not been. We will definatly try and go again this year. I havn't described it very well but look it up! ..Carriers de luminaires I think.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I love this place. First time we visited a couple of decades ago it was old slide projectors clunking and clicking away. Now it is a full on multimedia show.
We went on Val's little ferry last year. It was great!
But beware, it only takes a few cars and you might have to wait. We were the last car on and the very important person behind us was doing a lot of jumping up and down as the ferry pulled away.
Maybe a good idea not to be in a hurry
