We had our ATMB tag fail at Easter, it worked as we entered the toll and didn’t at the exit. I pressed the help button and held the tag very close to the reader on their instructions and it worked. The whole thing was a bit fraught on the drive down, sometimes working and sometimes not but worked fine on the way home.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We keep or back up TAG in it's foil pouch, which is in one of those Golden Virginia Tobacco tins (homage to my late father in law), and that gets put in the boot of the car.
There ain't no way the transponder signal is getting to that bad boy.
