We really enjoy Camping Le Soliel de Bastides in Cahuzac sur Vere, Tarn. It’s situated in the triangle of Cordes sur Ciel, Gaillac & Albi with many lovely villages to explore.
We went to France in June for the first time in 2025 instead of July/August, down south as usual, but expecting slightly lower temperatures but found ourselves in a heatwave with temperatures of 30deg ++

That sounds like one we might enjoy. I've searched on here, but can't find it. Have you done a review?

Thank you for the recommendation.
Are there any quiet roads or paths from the site that would be suitable for shortish on-lead dog walks?

Hi,
There a few around the village. If you look on google maps there is a cemetery & we have been all round there but mostly on bikes. It is a beautiful area & we love the site. We go to lots of places but are also quite bad at going back to the same site, we have been to Cahuzac every year 2019, even managing the pandemic. It’s small & peaceful with a nice pool & a quiet bar & restaurant & the best owners who can’t do enough for you. And I’ve not done a review, sorry

Sunday lunch from the farm shop , also sell sourdough by weight, just amazing! Just looking back through my photos and there is lots of walks, both short and shady and longer ones further afield. Definitely worth a look
