If you use a table lamp for instance then it is only switched in the live
Many modern caravans have nicely coloured 230V sockets but most are not double pole switched .
For under £10 you can fix yourself up with a tester and reverse polarity lead so compared to the cost of the outfit (car/caravan/tent etc) its peanuts.
Well worth not risking it
