I think it's important to try and learn some of the language before you go. Take a phrase book. The french are very proud of their language (rightly so) and you may be snubbed if you don't try and make an effort! Most importantly remember your manners!:Bonjour Madame/Monsieur , Merci, . . .s'il vous plait!
