We're off to St Avit Loisirs in the Dordogne at the end of July for 18 days. We're staying overnight each way at Le Parc de Fierbois in the Loire.
Why are we going....? My father in law lives in the Dordogne so we're visiting him at the same time and we love the area. This will be our 3rd visit to St Avit and we're dragging some friends with us this year
New to website but enjoying hearing everyone's plans - we're off in mid July to Austria for a week, to show our son the area as we haven't been for years, then 4 nights near Ypres to explore WW1 battlefields and war cemetries. Sailing from Newcastle to Amsterdam with a night near Neuremburg on the way South. Big adventure for a Highland family more used to midges & rain!!

No idea where, no idea when... this is a first for me.. normally by now I've got it all planned and booked. All I've done this year is buy some Campng Cheques before the price went up... but we might not even use them as that would tie us to the last week of August and we are thinking of going earlier.
Too scared to go for 3 weeks as usual in case the neighbours decide to resubmit their planning (although I appreciate I shouldn't let that interfere with our hols, I couldn't relax), so we will probably do a single site trip rather than our normal two or three sites... and fancy the idea of waiting to see where the sun is - no point in driving miles south if the weather is fab in Brittany!
At the mo the only 'loose' plan is to go the Edinburgh Festival - does that count as 'abroad' LOL!
Am soooo jealous as we have just got back on Sunday and all you people are yet to go! we went to the south of the france, just outside St Rapheal. We went because we love the south of the france and we wanted good weather and i got to meet up with my Dad who lives near Nice. And we had a great time and so did our dogs.
Am already thinking where we can go in September but we only have a week so it wont be the south.
Have a great time everyone!

Its great there, check the site well when near the moselle as they are usually either right by a road or a railway.
We managed to get one that was on the river, beautiful, had a railway line on each side of the river, on the flight path & right next to the fire station (which couldn't be seen) & they had a call out, as it was throwing it down with rain at the time, I thought it was a flood warning !
That was one short stop !
Actually we do love both places, tough choice between the real blackforest gateau & the wine !
We are going to Holland on 7th June for 2 weeks. Staying Here Very excited. We are going for my mother-in-laws 50th birthday, she wanted a family holiday abroad, so my sister-in-law and her family are coming too. MIL & FIL in their caravan, us in our tent and SIL in a chalet.
Off to Camping Port Punay in July for a couple of weeks and will take in a couple of stages of the Tour de France.
Will go again last week in August for two weeks, footy fixtures permitting. No idea where. Probably France but would love to pluck up the courage to try Spain in the Cambrils area perhaps. Will probably bottle it and end up in Saumur again :)
