It is true, so do what the locals do and have a break from time to time 
Eateries at motorway services are soooooooooooooooo much better value for money than those in UK, it is silly not to! Even the coffees at 1 EUR a cup from the most basic of services tastes miles better than those expensive coffees in the UK!
Sorry, I love all things French, and I can't wait to go to France again when the exchange rate is better - just need to sort out the doggie passport.
