Hi grizzlyking.
I am not concerned with 3 way fridges I would just never entertain one, at the end of the day a compressor fridge is always going to perform better than a 3 way fridge as far as refrigeration goes end of, interestingly the VW California camper-vans are fitted with a compressor 12v (240v ac) fridge as standard from Dometic, so VW are fitting a £1000 compressor fridge instead of a £200 3 way, I think that tells it's own story.

Unless you want to run it on gas of course as you'd need a 240v hook-up wherever you stop. No arguments for me re the efficency of compressors , they just aren't as flexible, hence the 3 way. At least these days compressors are much quieter than they used to be. Having the choice is good.
