L'Ardechois always used to have a selection of different sized pitches.  They had pitches for hikers, with very small tents, pitches for 'normal' size tents, small caravans, larger caravans, and blooming enormous anythings.  We never had a very small pitch, and one time had room for our caravan, three pup tents, awning, car, and enough space for seven teenagers to congregate behind our caravan (and it wasn't a Grand Comfort pitch - or not classified as such at the time).

The pitches at L'Ardechois are all greater than 125m2 which is a requirement of the 5 star grading. So the pitches are not small. Have a look at my Flickr site for some photos of the site - here.

Lovely snaps, thanks for showing.

Regarding the pitch size I should have said most are greater than 100m2. I didn't notice any really small ones but do book a grand confort if you want the largest pitches.

On their website they say of the size...
We propose 3 types of pitches :
Classique: +/- 100m²
Grand Confort: +/- 140m², with water and drainage
Premium Castel: +/-150m², with water, drainage, Wifi, hammock, fridge and garden furniture

We were at this site last summer for two weeks during the summer holidays. We absolutely loved it, it is a fantastic site and is now our favourite. We have 2 children aged 3 and 5 and they just played all day with other children on the site. We have a grand comfort pitch, I think it was m3 or m5, can't quite remember but was the perfect location from the river, toilet blocks and pool.

The town is about a 15 minute walk (with children!)away. The only day it seemed busy was change over day, but other than that was quite. We took a canoe down the river and got the bus back a few times, which is a must really.

As I said we love this site our only problem now is we can't seem to find any that compare!!
