I have just let P&O know that there is a blog ongoing about P&O Hull - Zeebrugge, and that there have been 47 comments and 2045 views since yesterday at 4pm. I wonder if they really make their marketing team do their homework and see what is being said about them.
To be fair they eventually come up with something to pacify the punters

No they won't Mike, I was very careful. I only showed the number of 'hits'.
They have replied this morning asking for my travel reference, and are going to investigate.
Its their quiet time now, so they have time to discuss this type of thing in the 'brainstorming sessions'. I feel 100% sure that we were just the tip of the iceberg in terms of complaints about the table booking nightmare.
We have never been in the canteen/ cafe, maybe we have missed something ???!!!!.
I just don't do queuing, and prefer a quiet environment. Even at service areas we always sit outside. I don't do bustle.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Cat, I'm coming at it from our experience over the last few years with Brittany Ferries. We've never booked (not even sure whether they offer it) and never had to wait for a table, in their equivalent to The Kitchen. It's been fine. We've always gone in a corner away from the over-excitables.
This time, our tickets include breakfast in the Kitchen, and that's OK. My intention yesterday was to book dinner in The Brasserie for the outgoing and it ended up £66 which confused me, till I saw it had been booked for the return too. Meat courses and wine will be extra.
So even booking it I got confused, or the agent didn't understand me. So yes, I think they can do better. We're going to go book a time straight from the car deck. June, midweek, I'm hoping it won't be 10:00pm.
Happy days
------------- Mike
My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Our tickets included a meal in the cafe, but we pay extra and dine in the brasserie once onboard.
We haven't tried to book the brasserie on-line YET!

We have used P&O twice yearly for the past 5 years. The prices are certainly rocketing. Have always had a good meal and we have always gone club. Never had a problem booking a table. If the prices escalate too much more though will be looking at other options.

The table booking problem has only arisen this year, this is because of the change to the website. Also there is the date of travel to consider. We had no issue going out on a Thursday (to avoid the pleb traffic). We travelled back on a Saturday in early September...so no real surprise that it was busy.
Club is by no means 5star but it is an advance on those boxes with a toilet.
Prices are mad, and there is no competition to challenge it in Hull !!!!
