I would check on their website that the sites you want to use accept ACSI at the time you want to go ( most sites don't accept it July/August ) before you order a card.
Other than that I can't recommend it highly enough - it will pay for itself the first night you use it !
If you're in your local caravan dealership check out if they sell them - ours do - but otherwise you're probably as well buying from the link above, as buying direct from ACSI you have postage on top of the cost of the book.

What is the ASCI card? We have used the website to find campsites, but I must have missed the card info!!
Heres the link to details of the card and the sites accepting them.

I found I got the discount in the off-peak season just by waving the ACSI book at them - which I got from Aldi for a couple of quid!
As has been mentioned, you cant use the card when you are on holiday in the summer!!!! It does stand as an ID card though for the camp site if you want to pay at the end of your stay and dont want to hand over your passport.
You can get the card from any caravan dealer on the continent if you really want one. I havent found it necessary as I always pay for the pitch upon arrival.

------------- Veni Vidi Velcro.... I came, I saw, I stuck around!
We used ours last weekend in Holland. Forgot to even check but the lady on reception asked if we had one Oh had it in his wallet. I think we got the weekend about £20 cheaper than friends who were with us.

We've had a good look through the book and there are loads of sites around Europe which fit the bill. Dates for the "off season" vary quite a bit and there are some offering the off peak prices from 25th August onwards so still able to have a "summer" holiday and save money.
I guess we'll get up to 4 weeks savings if we look around towards the end of August.
I'd say for the small cost it's a worth while investment (even if it's only for a sites guide)...
