Having emmigrated to Western Australia in January, and started camping here (despite my wife saying she wouldn't 'cause of all of the lethal insects, snakes etc) we have found there is a lack of information on camp sites (good revues like this site offers) - the best sites we have found belong to the big 4 group -http://www.big4.com.au/public/
Does anyone know of any decent review sites for camping in Australia? How do I start my own website?
It is the middle of the night here (3am) but I am working a night shift!

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
hi mark. i was at camping and caravan show at perth in march, there was loads of info available at show about sites all over oz.there seems to be that most campers do wild camping, some of the trailer tents look fab,but would perfer a caravan with air con,up to 43 degs when we was over.
We were going to got to that but went camping instead!
The tents here are great loads of ventilation (all with fly screens) and completeley bug/snake proof. There are loads of 'proper' camp sites around with all the facillities you would expect in the uk and loads more - swimming pools, free BBq's, camp kitchen, kangaroos, possums and bandicoots!
The best we have stayed at so far was www.peppermintpark.com.au - would love to get a 4wd and an off road trailer tent at some point, but can't afford it yet!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
