Hi, could anyone recommend a site for 2-3 days in the Vendee region late August?

We are a couple without children so would prefer a quieter more couple orientated site if possible.

Just fancied a couple of days by the beach on the way down to visit family near Bordeaux. Doesn't matter if it still family orientated but as long as it's not too rowdy!

Hi Windy - I'm not a fan of the Vendee - especially the northern bit which is a bit too 'UK sur mer' for my liking.

I really disliked Camping La Pinede nr La Palmyre but other places I've been on the west coast were pretty decent - although I didn't find a 4 star site that let me conveniently walk to the beach.

If someone said 'You have a free hol on the Atlantic coast' I'd go back to La Rive nr Biscarosse - Set on a clear lake not a long drive from 100 miles of great beaches it takes some beating - But its further south than the Vendee
