Can anyone shed some light on the weather conditions of this area in Holland at the moment ? I know that some of you said that you were going in July and I am wondering if you have returned?
We will be going in August under canvas and because of the floods here in England I am a bit worried....
Any help will be gratefull

We haven't been ourselves, but I am Dutch and one of my friends lives in The Hague, not far from Duinrell. The weather there has been similar to here, although no flooding. My friend normally cycles to work, yesterday was the first time in over a week she could use her bike, up to then she has used public transport, because there has been a lot of rain. Last Sunday some of her friends arranged a 25 mile cycle trip, but unfortunately it had to be cancelled due to rain. Her email from yesterday also said that it was very windy.
So, unfortunately not really any better than here right now, but you are not going until August, so there is always a chance that it will be better then. Hope so anyway.
Enjoy your holiday.
We were there end of first fortnight in July, weather was similar to here unfortunatly, very wet through the night most nights and up till about 10 in the morning, usually dry the rest of the day. Spectacular thunder storms, loudest thunder i've ever heard. Have a great holiday anyway.
