Hi

Whilst in France I fitted the Plastic feet (which I had purchased some 6 months earlier but never got round to fitting) on the corner steadies.

When returning on the ferrry the ramps off the ferry can be quite severe and on my return the plastic feet were ripped off and recoverd by the driver following me off.

The Ferry staff were very good and slowed everyone down at the point of disembarking rather that rushing everyone off as i have exerienced previously.

I would therefore suggest that if you do use the plastic feet, then revove the rear ones before each ferry journey.  (I think they are only about £4 per set to replace but it is the inconvenience).   The longer the van the more chance you have of the same thing happening.

We had a pair on the rear of our motorhome, and they were wipped off turning into a supermarket in France with the camber of the road. Now we put the plates down before winding the steadies down.

We tape ours level  to the steady, using the ubiquitous black tape we use to black out the headlamps - saves pounds in buying new ones.  It's only if they tilt and hang down that they get ripped off!

We`ve given up on them and gone back to putting bits of wood under the corners when necessary!
