The weather will be what the weather will be!!   Forecasters can only tell a couple of days in advance and this Summer not at all.  It has been a very mixed Summer everywhere north of the Pyrenees just like here so go prepared for  rain, sun, hot and cold.    Sorry but that is the sort of summer this year is.   I hope you hit it lucky but it should be a little warmer than at home

Weather looks good from Sunday to Tuesday which is as far as the forecast goes at the moment.    I look at the BBC forecast by putting in 5 day weather Nantes as a search.

Have a look at www.metcheck.com , then pick Europe/France/La Roche Sur Yon which is about 20 miles away from where you are going.

We've just come back from La Garangeoire at St Julien . First week was great but second was disappointing and decided to come home a couple of days early due to wet everything and bad forecast.

If you get the weather it is a lovely area. Visit St Gilles Croix de Vie for a night out , its a picturesque but busy little place with nice restauarnts and small arcades for the kids

We got back last Friday from La Garengeoire and were very lucky with the weather. It was hot and sunny until our last day when it rained on and off all day.  I think we must have got back a week before Graeme. If it is wet there are still things to do, La Rochelle is quite a drive but worth a visit and the Chateau at Talmont and one at Avrille a few miles after Talmont are good.

Hope you have a great time and you get some good weather.
