We are looking at this site for next year and have read some great things on here about it.
We are looking at a mobile home and always like to be specific (ish) about our pitch.
Does anyone have a site map/plan that they could email to me please? I have emailed the site but they aren't responding.
thanks in advance.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Not been but met those that have and been happy - the water complex is superior to most inland sites but IMO the position to the N of Sarlat is a bit off.
We sadly left there last Saturday, having visited for our second trip and already considering a third visit next year. Afraid we do not have the site map, but we, as a family of four, stayed in a 'Chalet Reve' which was ideal for us. It was booked direct with the site. If you have any questions or anything that we can help out on then please ask. I would add that I tried to contact the owner, Benoit, via email before our last visit, and similarly had no response. However the poor bloke looks dead on his feet and in desparate need of sleep after a long season! not surprised that he is not on the email, which at other times they have been answering, regards
Kevin

Stayed here 6 times in all parts of the site and all have been ok, but this has been in May/June. If you want a quiet area ask to be put down near the bottom section which is a bit further from the entertainment.
'auntyquated' - the wife, bless her, has today found the basic site plan from les peneyrals amongst the debris of our recent visit. Let me know an email address and if you want I will scan and send it to you? cheers Kevin
Eddy.....was going great guns on the return drive until we got to Nantes! extensive delay trying to get through the Peage, and then when finally through came to a dead crawl under a kilometer later. Certainly near 2 hours to clear the Peage and get through the jam to get onto the actual Nantes peripherique. Once on that was back to normal driving. Apparently others have been having similar experiences around Nantes and Niort in both directions? We will call at the weekend....Kevin
apologies about the delay but have not been on since. The site is about 15 minute drive to the north of Sarlat, however nearby, 5 mins in car, is Salignac with Supermarket, one or two restaurants and shops. The actual site has a small shop with a basic selection of basics, bread, croissants, newspapers, groceries and some frozen foods. There is a good bar/restaurant adjacent to the pool and play areas. Relaxing to eat with the children who can easily slip off to the play area between courses or when bored. Entertainment, or at least somethig going on each night, when generally mid evening, 9 ish, the restaurant becomes an area for karaoke, bingo, visiting band, quiz, disco etc. etc. Play area is good with expected swings, pool tables, table tennis etc. There is also a take away service with pizzas, burgers, croques, frites, etc. etc....The pool area is excellent for everyone, two outdoor pools, a third covered pool, kiddies pool and slides etc. with number of areas to sunbathe. BUT this reminds me how I ahte people using their towels to claim sunbeds that they do not use for most of the day !!!!!! We have spent last two years there in mobile and chalet, however the pitches appear to me to be varied in size, and I presume you get what you ask for?? Benoit the owner is very helpful and they do eventually respond to emails, overall an excellent site........
Depends where you live - but Dover/Calais (P and O, or Seafrance, or Speedferries if you don't have a caravan) or Dover/Dunkerque (Norfolk Line) are usually by far the cheapest. Although the distance is slightly less from the Western ports, you'll probably more than save the difference in fuel costs by using the Dover/Calais crossing (unless you live in the West Country, of course).
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
