My wife and I are thinking of travelling middle of February 2008 to the Barcelona area from Bilbao. Has anyone else been at that time of year? Were there any problems on the roads (snow or ice, we've been warned it may be a problem) and are there any camp-sites en route? Also was the crossing to Bilbao very rough??

The bay of Biscay can indeed be rough in feb and yes, expect to encounter snow; we got stuck in it in april one year not far on the way south from Bilbao to Malaga.
